We both attended the Food and Hospitality Institute Carlo Porta, where teachers such as M. Bosotti and C. Sadler passed their passion and the first elements of this ancient profession on to us.

In the meantime several summer internships helped us to take the first steps in the restaurants of the most famous tourist resorts. It was just the beginning of our journey “in search of taste”.

In 1991 we began to share our knowledge in a restaurant near Milan, where we understood that to make our dreams come true and fulfil our expectations we needed to gain more experience by joining a high level kitchen brigade.

Therefore we decided to part, but also to keep in touch and share our experiences. We started to work in restaurants such as Sadler in Milan, L’antica osteria del teatro in Piacenza and some among the best French Hotel restaurants, such as Le jardin des sens, in Montpellier, La côte Saint-Jacques, in Joigny and Jean Bardet, in Tours, which improved our technical mastery and our skills in converting the raw materials into finished products.

The time spent in the United States of America improved our organizing skills, whereas the number of travels in the East, especially in Japan, gave us the chance to find out new raw materials to try new matches with, interesting also to the western palates.

In 1998 we took over Innocenti Evasioni, previously run by a family company, and there we started our adventure.

After one year we achieved the first results thanks to both our customers and our reviewers, who encouraged us to continue our journey “in search of pleasure”. Our aim is to combine wholesome and carefully prepared dishes with the warmth of a relaxing environment, with an attentive but not intrusive customer service.

We assure you that your “innocent escapes” with us (that’s what the name of our restaurant means) will be a unique adventure. We hope we have been able to make you experience, at least in part, the pleasure of spending an evening with us.
